life drawing

I teach a range of Life drawing course including Introduction to life drawing and Experimental approaches to life drawing with mixed media

‘The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all art and science’

- Albert Einstein

The classes helped me to rediscover the joy that I once had in drawing and painting. They were structured in a way that encouraged spontaneity and this was balanced with just the right amount of theory. It was exactly what I had been looking for, and as far as I could tell, unique in its approach.

Clare has the skills to allow us to explore in less formal ways what we might produce on paper. This gave me confidence in stretching my own skills and I found the process very encouraging and enlightening for me.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the course! – with the link between meditation and imagination and building imagery instinctively. Liz

I’ve always been impressed with Clare’s painting classes; excellent teaching bringing all of the participants to a shared sense of learning in a calm, fun and enlivening atmosphere.
— Ann
I found the teaching innovative, fresh and inspiring. The result was that I felt a sense of freedom in painting and being creative that I hadn’t experienced since childhood. Although the course was definitely fun, it also provided something of serious value - permission to be creative without fear.
— Amanda
I really enjoyed your course.  It was very useful to me, particularly as I am trying to establish a way of working from home.  The techniques you showed us for how to discover the next step in a project are invaluable.
— Donna
I really enjoyed the course, it was so inspirational and I’m now very keen to explore the world of painting further!
— Vibeke
I learned an enormous amount about colour and emotion in painting during the 4 days we spent together.
