Explore the enriching relationship of drawing and mindfulness and access your own creativity and imagination through developing drawings with an awareness of colour, composition and the freedom of non-judgement. This event is hosted by Breathworks mindfulness community.

WHAT WILL BE INVOLVED
You will be guided in a series of simple and playful drawing exercises, focussing on the qualities of openness, curiosity, connection and responsiveness to your materials and subject matter.
The session will help you to access your own creativity and imagination through developing your drawings with an awareness of colour, composition as well as freedom of non-judgement.
During the session there’ll be an introduction to the themes, guided mindfulness and drawing practices, discussion and sharing. The day will be well-paced with breaks throughout.
You will leave with a toolkit of mindful drawing exercises for you to take away and practice again.
What you will need:
10-15 pieces of paper - preferably A3 size ( any size will do)
Any drawing materials you would like to use, for example charcoal, watercolour, coloured pastels, oil pastels, ink or brush. Colours are recommended. Clare will demonstrate with graphite pencils, soft chalk pastels and ink
Pencil sharpener & eraser (if using pencils)

For mindfulness practitioners who wish to explore their existing practice in new ways, as well as newcomers to mindfulness who wish to learn more about mindfulness through drawing and creative practice. Suitable for all levels of drawing experience including beginners.
