What is the course about
An exploration of contemporary and modern artists relationship to the theme of ‘abstraction’. During the course we will explore a range of diverse practices and approaches to abstract drawing, to inspire our own works. Our mindfulness practices and teachings will focus on the theme of ‘connection, and solidarity with life’, as a way to support a more enriched sense of connection to and relationship with ourself, materials and emergent processes/themes
We will look at a range of artists work for inspiration, and there’ll be mindfulness teaching to support you to connect with your materials, subject matter, feeling and imagination, when engaging in your creative work.
There will be opportunities for sharing your work via an online platform and in small groups.
Note: Recordings of each session will be made available, should you miss any part of the course
